Moritz was the first Barcelona beer, founded in 1856. It belongs to the longest-standing brewing family in the country. Its founder Louis Moritz, originally from Alsace, was the first person in Spain to invest in industrial brewing, at what is today the Moritz Brewery on Ronda Sant Antoni. The establishment, located in the heart of the city between the Raval and Eixample districts, allows visitors to enjoy a 100 % Moritz experience as they tour one of the most important micro-breweries in southern Europe, where fresh, unpasteurised beer is brewed every day, while also enjoying the cuisine served up in the bar, or popping into the Moritz Store, a boutique dedicated to the brand universe.
